An independent Food and Nutrition consultant based in South Florida,
Michelle J. Stewart, RDLD/N,CDE is a registered dietitian with extensive
experience in both clinical nutrition and food service management.

An experienced and dynamic public
speaker who specializes in the African American community, she has
worked with numerous organizations. She also provides menu analysis,
nutrition communication, weight management and counseling with both
individuals and groups.
Michelle participated as a panelist on
heath care topics at the African American Leadership Summit in
Washington, D.C. where Vice President Dick Chaney was the keynote
speaker. She was also the Healthy Breakfast keynote speaker at the
annual National Newspapers Publishers Association convention in Chicago,
IL. She presented a lively speech on Staying Young with Your Food at the
Sysco Food Show in South Florida, she spoke at Sisters Speak Health and
Spa Getaway in Bermuda along with Andrea Baptiste from the TV show "The
Biggest Looser" and presented African American Foodways Cultural
Competency in School Food Service at the National School Nutrition
Association Convention in Los Angeles, CA and the Georgia School
Nutrition Association Industry Seminar in Columbus, GA. |

Michelle is a consultant in the food
and beverage industry. She has supported development and marketing of the
"4-1-1 on Beverages and Your Health" program for the Coca-Cola Company.

Prior to becoming an independent
consultant, Mrs. Stewart worked at several dynamic world class
organizations including Morrison's, where she was the Clinical Nutrition
Manager providing the leadership and directing the 45 team member food
and patient service staff and Sodexho Marriott, where she was a Clinical
Dietitian and Retail Operations Manager. As a Senior Project leader at
Flagstar Companies, she supported the various restaurant chains such as
Denny's, Qunicy's, Hardee's and El Pollo Loco. At Nestle-Stouffers
Frozen Foods Company, she was the Senior Home Economist coordinating the
introduction of frozen food products by working with marketing from
concept through manufacturing. Her duties included writing descriptive
package copy and cooking instructions as well as food styling for
package, print and television commercials. As a Product Specialist for
Kraft Foods Company, she developed recipes, products and cookbooks as
well as provided food styling for a variety of venues. Other past
experiences also include Sensory Analyst for the Swift and Company and
consulting for a variety of food and nutrition organizations.
Michelle also founded and directed
Stewart Food Service, Inc. which included the operations of Berea Family
Restaurant, Black Tie or Blue Jeans Catering and Its All About Food
Consultants. |

Michelle Stewart, RDLD/N,CDE earned
her Bachelors degree in food, nutrition and institutional management
from Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. Michelle is
completing her Masters in Public Health degree at Benedictine
University. Michelle is also a
Certified Diabetes Educator and Certified Wellness Coach.
She
holds certification in adult, adolescent, and childhood weight management
from the Commission on Dietetic Registration. She is a member of the
American Dietetic Association and serves as Chair, Public Relations for
the Florida Dietetic Association and Body Mechanics Foundation. Michelle is on
the board of directors for HEBNI Nutrition Consultants, Inc. and Body
Mechanics Wellness Foundation, Inc. |
