Michelle Stewart MPH, RDN,LDN,CDCES,FAND

Michelle J. Stewart is a registered and licensed dietitian better known as The Nutrition Planner. She is the founder of Michelle Stewart Consulting & Associates and has been leading the way to healthier lifestyles for more than 25 years.

​

She is zealous about empowering whomever she meets to take charge of his/her health and wellbeing. Michelle focuses on wellness from the inside out. To her it is all about balance and moderation. Her motto is “EAT LESS. MOVE MORE”.

 

Focusing on aging and longevity with a holistic approach to living your best life is her pathway to inner peace and happiness. Let Michelle guide you down the path of healthful living so you too can live your best life. Remember that we are not striving for perfection, just evolution because we are all just a work in progress.

Michelle holds a Master’s in Public Health and a Bachelor of Science in Food, Nutrition & Institutional Management. She is a certified diabetes care education specialist, holds certifications in adult, adolescent, and childhood obesity; is a Certified Wellness Coach and works with bariatric and pediatric patients. Her passion for wellness paired with her education help her stay abreast of the latest health concerns and on the cutting edge of intervention.

Michelle serves on several boards including FCS Advisory Committee for University of Florida, and Nova University Advisory Committee. As former Chair, for both Public Relations and Nominating Committees she is very involved with the Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and served as President. She is also former Treasure and Chair Nominating Committee for Broward County Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

The Nutrition Planner is a consultant for many industries including food and beverage, corporate wellness, weight loss surgery, gastroenterology, menu and product development, and has written numerous articles and blogs in an array of venues.

She is an experienced and dynamic public speaker who has participated in countless seminars and workshops all over the country. She was a panelist discussing health care topics at the African American Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C. where former Vice President Dick Cheney was the keynote speaker. She was also the Healthy Breakfast keynote speaker at the annual National Newspapers Publishers Association convention in Chicago. Michelle has vast experience in managing health issues impacting the African American community.

She has presented in numerous symposiums including the National School Nutrition Association and Georgia School Nutrition Association Industry Seminar on Cultural Competency in School Food Service. She also spoke at Sister Speak Health and Spa Getaway in Bermuda along with Andrea Baptiste from the TV show “The Biggest Loser.”  She attended the Heart Truth Campaign in Washington, D.C. where she educated the attendees regarding heart disease and its impact on women and multicultural communities.

Her most recent experiences include multiple conferences and presentations with the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ), Radio One – One Love Cruise, the Black Women’s Health and Beauty Conference and the Obesity Help National Conference. She also writes several health and wellness columns and articles for a number of publications.
